The internet is only needed for control from outside the house, streaming services and remote access while you are away.

Equipment that is genuinely at end of life gets flagged, with the reasoning, rather than quietly replaced.
The wiring will not be. Cable in the wall is the part that lasts twenty years, which is why Integration at Work, AV specifies it generously. Processors and touchscreens get updated over time, and a well-designed system lets you replace one piece without starting over.
